#5 Women's Basketball Knocks Off Toccoa Falls College

Swannanoa, N.C. -  The Lady Owls extended their win streak to two with a 68-53 win over Toccoa Falls College Tuesday night. The Owls now improve to 13-12 on the season. The Owls once again had an explosive first quarter, taking a 22-8 lead, and would never look back.

Asia Caldwell led the Owls with a season high 22 points. Danaisa Dumas followed her with 12 points and a team high 5 steals.

The Owls had 11 steals on the night and forced the Eagles into 24 turnovers. They also won the battle of the boards 43-29.

"This was another solid defensive game for us. We still have room to improve on offense but I am proud of how we bounced back after a not so great second quarter. We have to continue to work to maintain consistency at this stretch of the season. That will be key for us," stated head coach Robin Martin.

The Owls are back in action Friday when they host The Apprentice School for senior night. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 P.M.
