Elizabeth City, N.C. - The Lady Owls traveled to Mid-Atlantic Christian University in their first game of three in three days, and came away with a 91-35 victory.

The Owls had an explosive first quarter where they took a 22-8 lead. For the second straight game the Owls used their defensive pressure to force the mustangs into 25 turnovers and scored 36 points off those turnovers. The Owls also had double digit steals again with 18.

"We were able to get easy buckets from our defense and when we are able to make that happen we are a dangerous team.  We also had four players in double digits and we have been waiting for that chemistry to come together, so it's nice to see this quality of scoring finally. We are starting to find a good rhythm and they are having fun playing together. Everyone is contributing and it's exciting to watch come together," stated head coach Robin Martin.

Danaisa Dumas led the way with another double double with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Malaka Elix followed with 11 points and both Tierney Porter and Amber Godfrey had 10.

The Owls are back in action tomorrow to face Regent University. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 P.M.
