Middletown, OH - The Lady Owls traveled to Miami Middletown to face the Lady Thunderhawks and fell 80-63. The Lady Thunderhawks started the game with a big first quarter, taking a 22-7 lead over the Owls. The Owls struggled to find the same offensive rhythm they had the previous night, and would finish the game shooting 30% from the field and only 12% from the 3 point line.
Danaisa Dumas was the only Owl in double figures and led the Owls with 25 pts. Danielle Hinkelman followed her with 8 points.
"We just really struggled to find any type of rhythm on either end of the floor. When we aren't making shots our defense tends to be slower and that can't be the case. We still have a lot of growth that needs to take place," stated head coach Robin Martin.
The Owls are back in action January 13th, when they travel to Washington, DC to take on Washington Adventist University.
