Women's Basketball Drops Contest to Villa Maria

Buffalo, N.Y. - The Lady Owls dropped to 0-4 as they fell in a key matchup against Villa Maria College.

The Owls started off the game finding a better offensive rhythm and Danasia Dumas found her rhythm, however Villa Maria forced the Owls into 26 turnovers. Dumas would end the game leading the Owls with 30 points. Danielle Hinkleman finished with 8 points.

"This loss stings as we are constantly compared to Villa Maria when it comes to the coaching polls and we certainly did not look like the dominant team tonight. Right now we have one consistent scorer and that's Piggy, we need to get buckets from others now. We have to understand that we can win games based off great solid team defense. Right now its back to work, we can not keep struggling from the field, 3pt line and foul line," stated head coach Robin Martin.

The Owls are back in action Friday, November 9th, as they travel to Boiling Springs, N.C. to take on NCAA Division 1 opponent Gardner-Webb University.
