Owls Compete in First Day of Sun Coast Swimming Conference Championships

Orlando, FL - Day one of the Sun Coast Swimming Conference Championships brought the Owls a lot of excellent swims. Leading the charge was the women's 200 medley relay team of Mara Trowbridge, Sarah Scott, Lucy Thompson, and Sierra Bell who earned a 10th place finish with a time of 2:33.92. Next in the finals competition, Trowbridge was able to improve her season best time in the 500 Freestyle by 17 seconds with a time of 5:51.90, leading her to 11th place. Thompson also scored 11th place in her 200 IM with a time of 3:11.39. There was a series of best times in the 50 Freestyle including Alex Ardagna with a time of 27.23, Malcolm Mitchell Bennett with a time of 29.46, Alie Covington with a time of 33.45, Scott with a time of 30.77, Belle with a time of 32.75, and Katie Cornish with a time of 46.04. There are still two days of competition for the owls with many more best times to come!
