Men's Soccer Falls On The Road to Crown College

Powell, TN - The Owls of Warren Wilson College men's soccer travelled to the crusaders of Crown College, on Tuesday October 23rd. The Owl started the game dominating the possession of the ball, with Leonardo Borges controlling the tempo of the game with precise passes and sharp turns in the midfield. A key injury to the Owls defender Benjamin Schmid, opened opportunities for the crusaders, who scored five unanswered goals to finished the first half.  The Halftime score, crusaders 5, Owls 0.

The Second half saw the Owls regain their defensive shape, and holding the crusaders to only two goals, and the finally found the back of the net with 5 minutes to go in the game, on a classic finish from Senior Ansel Sherman. The Owls played much better in the second half, and Keeper Yael Maldonado-Figueroa had over 20 in the match. The final score was crusaders 7, Owls 1.

The Owls conclude the season with senior night against Johnson and Wales on Tuesday, October 30that 4pm.
