Swannanoa, N.C. - The Owls of Warren Wilson College men's soccer hosted the Patriots of Southern States Community College on Sunday October 21st. The Owls got off to a quick start, when Leonardo Borges scored in the 3rdminute with a left footed shot in the box. In the 26thminute, Tristan Perryman netted a powerful header off of a cross from Jasper Price-Slade. Southern States battled back but the Owls countered and quickly put the game out of reach. Cayce Morrison put the Owls on the board again in the 32ndminute off of an assist from Levi Jackson. Price-Slade scored his first goal of the season in the 34thminute when he fired a bullet to the upper right corner of the net to beat the keeper.
The Owls would enter the second half with five goals on the board. Borges scored his second goal of the match in the 46thminute, with a goal from Ansel Sherman shortly after in the 65thminute. Kezar Berger put the Owls on the board in the 66thminute with a strong shot from 30 yards out. Jackson would add two more goals late in the game to earn the 10-0 victory. Both Evan Gammons and Jackson had their debut in goal, sharing time in the second half. The Owls dominated possession throughoutthe game and all players helped contribute to the victory.
