Swannanoa, N.C. - The Owls of Warren Wilson College men's soccer hosted the Wasps of Emory and Henry College. This game started with a back and forth contest, both teams finding stretches of chances. The Owls Ansel Sherman was a big difference maker, creating several scoring opportunities, but the Owls were unable to put the goal in the net early. The Wasps scored the game's first goal on a solid attack. With this goal the Wasp's would take a 1-0 lead into the half.
The second half saw the Owls claim the majority of the possession. For runs of play the Owls created many chances, with several corner kicks and shots on goal in bursts. Unfortunately for the Owls, they were not able to capitalize on the chances, and the Wasp's would score two more goals to seal the victory for the visiting team.
The Owls look forward to Saturday, September 15th, when they travel to Hiwassee College, 4pm kickoff.
