Winston-Salem, N.C. - The Owls of Warren Wilson College men's soccer faced off against the Bruins of Piedmont International University. The game was a defensive battle for the Owls, who came into their defensive shape better than they have all season. The Owls kept a talented and fierce attack by the Bruins at bay for 42 minutes, until an unlucky bounce opened the chance for the game's first goal. The Owls showed their quality with a couple of their own scoring chances and a strong midfield led by Levi Jackson, Evan Gammons and Cayce Morrison but were unable to equalize. The Bruins went into the half ahead 1-0.
The Second half started much the same as the first, with great positioning and shape work. Great efforts by the Owls defenders, Isaac Davis, Benjamin Schmid, and Jasper Price-Slade kept the Owls in the game. Near the end of the second half, the Bruins would score a few security goals to seal the game, leaving the Owls in defeat, 4-0.
