Men's Soccer Drops Road Match

Men's Soccer Drops Road Match

Toccoa Falls, GA - Men's soccer traveled to Georgia to take on Toccoa Falls College. The match began with a few good scoring chances for both sides, with the Screaming Eagles scoring first. Shortly after the game's first goal, there was a lightning delay. Once back on the field, the Owls battled back with a great goal from Evan Gammons, who scored off of a corner kick. Toccoa put in a second goal to take the second lead of the half. The Owls were determined to equalize before halftime, and Freshman Mario Vigil did just that on a breakaway assisted by Levi Jackson. The teams went into the half tied 2-2.

The second half was a different game, Toccoa found their range and scored twice from over 30 yards, and twice from the right side of the field.

The Owls fought hard but were unable to gain any ground on the Screaming Eagles, with the game ending in a final score of 6-2.

The Owls look to bounce back when they host Crown College Thursday, September 6th.
