#15 Men's Basketball Overcomes Slow Start, Defeats Mustangs

Swannanoa, N.C. - The #15 men's basketball team broke their six game losing streak with an 85-70 victory over conference foe Mid-Atlantic Christian University on Saturday.

The Owls started off slow and saw themselves in a 29-27 deficit as they went into the half.

The second half was a completely different output for the Owls. Outscoring the Mustangs 58-41, the Owls were able to cruise to victory.

"It's nice to get over the hump. After a very disappointing loss earlier this week on the road, it was nice to be able to go into the locker room and celebrate a victory rather than doing the opposite. We are still building and will look to go on a winning streak tomorrow," exclaimed head coach Anthony Barringer.

The Owls saw 5 players in double figures. Jordan Gant led all scorers with 24 points. Trey Brown followed him with 15 points. Brent Davis, Jakorian Martin, and Saadiq Johnson followed with 13, 11, and 10 respectively.
