#14 Owls Drop Road Contest

Oakland City, IN - The Warren Wilson Owls traveled to Oakland City, Indiana to take on the Mighty Oaks of Oakland City University. This was the first ever matchup between the two teams.

The game was back and forth early on, with netiehr team able to gain a clear advantage. A run late in the first half by the Mighty Oaks would be all they needed, as they took an 18 point lead into the half. The Owls would cut the lead to 13 early in the second half, but that was as close as they would come.

"We took a huge step back tonight. We always talk about controlling what you can control, well, and we didn't do that at all, and it hurt us. We played significantly better in the second half, but it wasn't enough to repair the damage that had already been done," stated head coach Anthony Barringer.

Jordan Gant paced the Owls with 33 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds. Brent Davis and Jakorian Martin followed Gant with 14 points and 13 points, respectively.

The Owls return to Devries Gymnasium Tuesday night when they host Campbellsville University - Harrodsburg. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 P.M.
