Men's Basketball Starts Slow, Drops Contest

Men's Basketball Starts Slow, Drops Contest

Pippa Passas, KY - The Owls traveled to Kentucky to take on Alice Lloyd College. The Eagles took an early lead  as the Owls continued to struggle to get a rhythm going early. Justin Storr would spark the Owls and the Owls would cut the Eagles lead to 3 going into the half. The second half the Eagles would stretch the lead out again before the Owls went on a run of their own. The Owls would take a 5 point lead, but was unable to hold on to it, and would eventually fall to the Eagles.

"We really struggle with rebounding the basketball and it has caught up to us. We had a chance to seal a victory but when you shoot as poorly as we shot it coupled with rebounding as poorly as we did, you can't expect to win. Jaquann played like a grown man tonight and it's unfortunate that we as a team couldn't match his energy and intensity for 40 minutes."

Junior Jaquann Lockhart led all scorers with 25 points, and also pulled down 7 rebounds. Junior guard Justin Storr finished with 21 points and dished out 6 assists on the night.
