Swannanoa, N.C. -- Warren Wilson College has named Mandy Gallagher as their new Head cycling coach. Gallagher will take over the program after the departure of Matthew Williams and interim head coach Meghan Korol.
"I am honored to have the opportunity to work with an established, successful program and to coach the next generation of successful student athletes at Warren Wilson College. My goal is to build upon the rich tradition of athletics at the college and further enhance its success," exclaimed Gallagher
Gallagher arrives at Warren Wilson College after spending two years as an Assistant Women's Cycling Coach at Lees-McRae College. She has also coached junior cyclists and Master's athletes.
Athletic Director Joni Williamson had this to say about the hiring of Gallagher, "We are extremely excited to announce Mandy Gallagher as our next head men's and women's cycling coach at Warren Wilson College. Mandy exemplifies exactly what the search committee was looking for in hiring our next head coach. Coach Gallagher's coaching and collegiate experience, strong skill set, passion, vision, knowledge of the sport, and dedication to the student-athlete experience will truly help continue to grow the cycling program.
